As lingerie brands go, La Perla can be considered the ‘creme de la creme’. Equal parts glamorous, contemporary, sensual and charming, La Perla’s spring summer 15 collection comprises several beautifully crafted lines that redefine style codes from lingerie through to clothing, crossing the boundaries between public and private.
With potential outerwear pieces that play with graphic layering of tulle fabric to deliver see through effects, the thrill of elements of transparency and accompanied sartorial flair offers the wearer the opportunity to blur the line between inner- and out-to-wear. Die Daily Design bodice is a perfect example of this.
With a brand such as La Perla it is aways hard to choose my favourite pieces from any one collection. I am particularly drawn to the Ninfea lyn, where several styles crafted in soft micro-modal are embellished with laser cut floral embroidery. There are some beautiful details on the bodysuit en nightdress, and the stretch-tulle high waist briefs have a super flattering cut.
Die Light & Shadow collection will undoubtedly win admirers with its floral patterns and arabesques. The dramatic bodysuit with deep plunge that completely reveals the back and shoulders is a stand out style. Die balconette bra en full briefs in plumetis tulle with silk satin detailing and row of buttons along the back is a dreamy set – in Light & Shadow floral curls trace embroidery patterns on the soft tulle like a sensual tattoo.
